Cooled seats coming on when remote started

So, I know this is definitely a nitpick type issue, but heres what my truck is doing:

If I use either the fob or the Remote Access to start my truck (17 250 6.7 Platinum), it almost always turns the cooled seats on if it is over 50 degrees. Sometimes even if its colder and heated would be better. There are times it'll turn on the heated seats and wheel like you'd expect, but most often it will turn on the cooling.

It drives me crazy to get in to an extra cold seat. I've tried to set the climate on remote start options to "last setting" and to "auto" and it doesn't seem to matter.

Anyone else's truck do this? I guess my 2015 Ram 2500 spoiled me, it always turned the heat on when it was cold and the cool on when it was hot.

I haven't had any experience with this. When its hot, my cooled turns on. When its cold, my heat turns on. I wonder if theres a temperature you could set with forscan or if maybe your sensor is faulty. Have you tried contacting your dealer?

Yeah, whoever Ford allowed to program this feature must've been from Alaska. It seems like in my truck the A/C seats come on with remote start at 55 degrees and the heated seats below 50. Without using remote start it uses the last setting used. I would like for my ac seats to come on at like 70 and heated seats below 60

This is a known issue with the programming of the seats and climate control. The seats have to be below 52 f for the heat to come on. So in the in between seasons, or if sun on the seats, the cooling comes on. I have tried the same issue of last setting or auto settings and found the same. Now I am in the winter already, the heating does come on. I too would like to see the Forscan app how we can adjust to cooling only below 70 f or 21 C. This issue affects me if I have been using the heated seats, shut off, go into a store and remote start, as the temp setting is to low, so I get cooled nice cold seats despite the outside temp having me want heat, it's the seat temp I believe. Forscan guru's ease help. I am hoping to have this for Christmas so it's definately on my list of adjustments.

Thanks for the responses. Using Forscan to adjust it would be pretty awesome.

Heating or cooling will come on to which ever was last selected when you turn the truck off. At least thats the way mine works. If neither is on when I shut it off neither comes on when I start again.

You have three setting on remote start for the seats. Something like Auto that will attempt to bring it to your dash setting. On Last Setting that turns it on its last setting and Off. Go to settings and change it to what you like. And you do not need forscan for these setting.

There is an option for auto or last set.

I posted a thread the other week with this same issue and others have been talking about it for months. Very annoying to try and warm the truck up to then sit down on a cold seat.

Yeah I know how to adjust the settings, but it sure doesn’t help. Auto is way too aggressive on cooling the seats. Usually I turn the seats off before I get to wherever I park and turn the truck off (especially the cooling, I don’t really like them even when it’s hot outside).

I’m very happy with my Ford, but this little thing my Ram 2500 did better for sure.

Haven't noticed this being an issue on my end. Cooled seats come on when its warm, heated seats and steering wheel come on when its cold.

50deg and dark when I came out of the office tonight. Remote started the truck and when I got in my seats were being cooled. When I hit the start button to take it out or park, the cooling switched off, and the heated seats started back up. Checked the setting and was set to "Last Setting". I had the heated seats on when I came into the office this morning.
IMO, Ford has an issue in their programming on this one.

The same thing happened to me again just last week. I agree there is an issue.
