You're better off starting a NEW THREAD. The last post was from 2012. Welcome to FTE! Be careful here we are good at spending your money.
If your CEL is o then you have codes. Have you pulled them?
What is your OBDII device that doesn't power up? Have you looked under the hood for soot? If there is soot anywhere at all under the hood (including the bottom of the engine), you have an exhaust leak.
What kind of reader are you using to pull codes/how do you know the OBD port doesn't have power? There are only certain readers that work with these trucks, most of the parts stores that try to read them can't.
Welcome aboard.
As others have stated, your 7.3 Powerstroke is not OBD II compliant so most code readers can't read the codes. If your SES light came on, there are codes stored. Without those codes you are just spending large amounts of money on random parts hoping to solve the issue before your wallet runs dry. You don't have to pay someone a lot to get the codes read. You can get the smartphone apps Forscan or TorquePro and a OBD II interface or ask one of us near by to read them for you.

Reason: spelling
The OP hasn't been back since his first post on 17th at 3:48 am... I would probably put my money on it that this was a spammer. I'm definitely not gonna waste anymore time with it .
