We only see mid 90's in MI but normally that's with pretty high humidity (on the lake) and i had no issues. It takes a few min to chill down but it will freeze you out eventually. Having the center council is nice because those rear vents go a long way to help evenly heat and cool the truck. I didn't realize there were in there when i bought it but i am glad they are.

The only problem I see so far with the 18 Lariat we bought is the system is a lot more complicated than our old XLT's. Is hard for me to just find outside air to come in (no AC). It always want to adjust to a set temperature by adding heat or AC. I do like AC going thru the consol and to rear area, that definatly makes the whole cabin the same temp. Recently I'll crack a front window and the rear back about an 1" and get flow that way.

Bought a 2017 in June and tested the A/C in the Big Bend Desert. 109 degrees and the A/C had no problem keeping things cool ( v8 Supercrew). Definitely far better performing than previous Ford's ive experienced.

I to have to agree with you. Even my 2018 XLT is way to complex. Got to many buttons. My old F250 had 1 dial with the selections and 1 dial for fan speed and 1 dial for Temp. This new one has 1 dial for fan speed, 1 dial for Temp (it includes MAX temp) and 9 buttons that move air to different vents and turns off AC and I think there is a button for rear window De-Icer ?

To make a change, I have to stop the truck, Unhook the seat belt, bend down to find which button I want to push (since they are below eye level), vs the old F250 which were within EYE level and all you had to do is change the dial position for selections and and off you went.

Welcome to progress !

When I want outside air only:
Make sure recirculate isn't lit.
Turn off AC button so it isn't lit.
Touch the Auto button so it isn't lit (off hand, I think I do this step).
Hit the fan speed up or down and select where I want the air to flow.
