Running Lights Not Working Right 2000 E450
I have a 2000 E450 bus I just traded for and the running lights aren't working right. I've found the turn signal relay and there's another relay that'll trigger when the running lights come on. Not sure what it does yet, but it doesn't effect anything if I unconnect it.
Here's what going on (and I'm sure somewhere something's just not wired right). If you pull the headlamp switch out to the middle position nothing happens. If you pull it all the way out the headlights will come on, but still no running lights. If you play with the switch just right in between the middle position and all the way out the running lights will come on (and that relay I spoke about earlier will click if it's plugged in).
Where do I need to look to find where this wiring is off? I replaced the headlamp switch hoping that was the issue, but I got the same results.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
At a loss...
clearance didn't work but fixed a short that was blowing the fuse and now fuse doesn't blow but this is happening... replaced light switch but no joy...
anyone know what is going on?
***edit... off = no lights 👍
. Parking light position = no lights 😥
. Midway between parking light and headlight positions = everything(parking/running, clearance, and dash lights) except headlights
. Headlight position = only headlights (no parking/running, clearance, or dashlights...)
turn signal, hazards, and brake signals all operate normally
