Does anyone know if the 47 bench is the same size as the 48?
love my 47 Jailbar Pick up, but of course all aftermarket places list apholstry for 1948 and up. I imagine they are the same but would hate to be wrong as we are in Canada and everything here costs double...especially mistakes lol!

 

I am not sure about whether '48 is the same as '47 but I purchased a seat cover kit for my '46 (which is the same as '47) from Mac's. Check out this link to the page where you find the kit and have the option to select a color. The kits come with the pad that goes between the seat springs and the seat cover and the hardware (tack nails & hog rings) to secure the covers to the seat frame. You will need a pair of hog ring pliers. See the listing for closed cab seat cover upholstery kit.

I did the same, turned out fine.

 

I think George Moirs in Stoney Plain AB had 42-47 in stock

 

The '48-'52 seat is 52" wide, which I believe is several inches wider than the '47 and earlier seats.

i also have to re cover my seat in my 47 also

and I'm in canada also where it is double for sure

but i have had to strip my seats down to the core and will need a re upholster kit and a foam kit if anyone knows where this is available that would be sweet thanks
