it is time to replace or rebuild the turbo on my truck and wanted yalls opinion as to what you may have experienced. I want as much power as I can get obviously and have ordered a tuner and the truck has larger exhaust already.
Can't go wrong with the Garrett GTP38R. If you tow, its going to be a toss between performance and towing EGTs. Figure out what you want out of the truck first. Performance is a balancing act. Its very easy to go from fun mild performance to money pit headache. I haven't modded any of my 7.3 trucks, but I went through this when picking a turbo for my Cummins.

I bought the Garett cartridge online saved a good amount on the surprise turbo failure at some point may put a bigger one it was an easy job. Also was able to Clean my old wheel and sell it online. If you go this route be sure to sand and polish the mating surface so the housing goes on easy without damaging the blades.
