Can I use 1953 doors on a 1950 Ford F-1

My father is restoring my grandfather's 1950 F-1, and bought replacement doors, being told they were from a 1951 F-1. It appears they might be from a 1953. We held the door up to the cab and it appears to fit, but I wanted to ask if anyone knew we definitely could or could not use these doors, either from hinge placement, weather seals, or other issues. Thank you, Rusty.

Welcome to the forum! The doors will interchange on cabs from '48-'52, the '53 cab is totally different. If the doors appear to fit by holding them up, they are probably '51 doors as the seller said. 1953 doors would be so obviously different that you wouldn't question them. Oh, BTW, we need to see pics of your truck .

Yeah, I just had someone point out the obvious differences on the doors. Thanks to midfifty.com, and thanks for the reply. Here's where we are at on the restoration.

Welcome Rusty!

Good looking truck-in-progress. It would appear from your exhaust setup that you plan to make a little noise with the flathead. Nicely done.

Hey, that is going to be a nice truck, and is one of the best colors according to a recent poll here.
I couldn't help but notice the shin-guards on the running board brackets. Miight be a story behind that!

Welcome to FTE from Maine.

Nice Restoration

Happy to see another truck being brought back to life. In your case it looks like you are sticking close to stock, which gets my vote!

Welcome to FTE.

Really Nice!. I think you and I are about at the same stage. You aren't going to believe this but I'm guessing that is your headliner kit in the box across the rear frame? If so look at my pic...and honestly it's not staged. I have to delay everything and get my floor painted. I had it done but only as a protective coating as i thought it would all be covered by the mat but low and behold it's not so i just took the tank out and pull the tranny cover and floor mat. Roughed up the finish and waiting for a chance to get some matching paint on it.
