Automatic shifter issue
Latest issue is I can't get the truck to shift out of park. It has been sitting for a while. I jacked the rear wheels off the ground and turned them to remove any pressure on the trans but no change. I disconnected the linkage from the trans, the trans will shift between the positions but the linkage will not move. I removed the steering wheel to check the shift collar and it looks fine. When I pull the shift lever forward I can see the rod depressing into the column. I assume where the linkage connects to the column under the hood it should move but doesn't. Where does this lead me?
