You can use pistons for a 4.6 or 5.4 cause they are both the same. send the heads to a machine shop for a little port work. Don't worry about the crank, you won't find one thats better than the stock one. You can get aftermarket rods that will fit a 5.4. The only thing that really holds you back after that is the Intake. Or you can just leave it alone and put a little nitrous on it......=)
Ok these guys need to step away from the shop and find some ladies. I can't figure out how the supercharger works from the bottom of the intake.
I'm guessing they cut throught the bottom and filled the dead space under the stock intake with the SC and the rest is magic.
If the little plate on top holds the pressure it should work.
What about those billet intake spacers????
Looks like their is no lower intake, but that how the SC Thunderbirds were, the SC was below the intake.Makes you want to go get a 6.8 from the junk yard and start tinkering huh.
If you look at the intake runners, they look stock except there is a plate over the factory hole for the throttle body. They must have cut through the bottom, you can see where the intake for the SC goes and it is to the rear and under the intake runners.
I looks as though they have put some thought into this project.
If I had the cash to tinker, it would be strapping a WHIPPLE to mine. These guys....want something...(yea)...Different.
