Removing the factory drop in bed liner

I would like to take the factory bed liner, has anyone take theirs off and what is involved and the easiest way to do it without damaging the box/paint? Thanks

You talking about the plastic one or the spray on one?

The plastic one comes out with some muscle and prying. The tailgate piece is held on with 4 screws. I'd suggest doing it when it is warm.

The factory drop in. I want to remove it and do the spray on and install a 5th wheel hitch. I might keep the tailgate one in place, not sure just yet, just want the liner out. I have read to lift the center of liner and pull the edges out and remove the front anchors. Anything else I am missing? Thanks.

No. The ones I have taken out were not anchored anywhere. Just takes some muscle. When I bought the '12 it had a brand new plastic liner in the bed, so I decided to leave it in. I cut holes for the 5th wheel hitch pucks.

If you go with a spray in, get the hitch installed first.
