I purchased a 1987 F150 XLT Lariat with the 4.9 EFI, I plan to ship to the bahamas, My question is can I pull all the computer stuff and switch to carb? Would like to keep working on truck as simple as possible as pretty much shade tree mechincs on the island.

It CAN be done, but I do not believe it's worth it...
