Can you enter a location address while driving?
Example
I’m driving to a destination my wife the passenger try’s to enter address while I’m driving and get a message on the screen that you cannot do this while the truck is moving.
Is there a way to get around this so you can enter a destination without stopping?
Thanks

Voice commands. There is a bit to flip on the Forscan spreadsheet to disable the nanny feature. I went to do this, but didn't see the referenced module in the Forscan tool.
While we're on the nav topic, does this factory unit NOT show miles per hour or am I missing it in the settings?
I'll be getting different tires eventually and adjusting with FORScan for an accurate speedometer. Will I have to break out the old stand alone Garmin to check accuracy?
Well I used mine for the first time a few weeks ago and it let me plug the destination in on the fly...twice, long story. I have to say I thought the navigation looked cheezy until I actually used it, especially nearing turns when the screen split for the computer generated picture of the actual turn. I was very impressed. I have no idea why it let me, I was expecting it to tell me to stop but it didn't.
It would be simpler if you have an address to enter it before leaving.
Usually we already know how to get 2/3 of the way there, so rather than listen to the dumb Navigation, we get to where we're not sure and start the route. Especially if we have multiple stops on the way to the Navigation address, and it says "Turn around when possible" over and over again........I KNOW!!!! I have a stop to make FIRST! Obviously the truck knows when someone's sitting in the seat for the airbags, so it should let the NAV be accessed.

Put it on mute, change the screen? Easy ways to circumvent this annoyance. Save the address as a favorite so when you're on the road you can hit the button and then be on your way.
I will have to try to save to a preset location to favorites.
It still would be nice to punch in a location while your driving.
One of the replies says you can change something in Forescan so the passenger can add a location how is this done and by who?
Thanks
Voice command works flawlessly. Press the button on the steering wheel, say find an address, then state the address. It's a hell of a lot faster than entering the address manually.

Read the Forscan Spreadsheet thread. Forscan is a free Windows based program that allows you to turn on and off options Ford has coded into your truck. NAV destination in motion is just one of a long list of tweaks you can do. The spreadsheet on the first page of the thread is always updated with everything that has been found to work to date.
No kidding. It's a good thing the system doesn't understand when I tell it to F off. I've had to try voice entry multiple times before it gets it right.
