Best winter tires (not dedicated snows)

Well i'm trying the new truck thing again,

and going to be lifting it here shortly, and running 35s on the factory wheels for the winter. I'll be buying a different wheel/tire combo to run in the warmer months, but just dont want to ruin aftermarket wheels in the winter here.

What does everyone like for winter tires, but not necessarily 100% dedicated snows. I will probably run these a good amount into the spring/summer as well. I will often be called into work during snow storms, but i am a very comfortable winter driver as well.

I was thinking Cooper ST Maxx right now, but open to any suggestions. Thanks!

I’ve been happy with Nitto terra g2 on previous. Have nitto ridge grapplers now, but have not run them through a winter yet. Both are M&S rated

Cooper has out the ATW which is an all terrain with the severe weather rating. There are costly and while I don't have any personal experience with it, Coopers are my favorite brand and have used them forever. Plus the ATW has a 50k mile warranty.

Miles...welcome to the 6.7 section, I thinK? When did you get the 6.7? It's a great looking truck! When did you get it?

I'm buying a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers G2's for the kids jeep. I'm going to run Ridge Grapplers on my Fiat again. They did well last season and they are the best tire I can find in 35" that can handle 80psi.

Nokian Rotiiva AT Plus. Great AT tires in the snow but good year round too... Pricing is excellent as well. Only about $160 each in the OE 20" size. Another member here bought them and they treated him so well in the winter months, he gave up running dedicated snows.

I have been running studded duratracks 325/60R20 (approx 35x12??) in the winter for quite a few years. They work good.

I had those on my Fiat for a while. I only got 20k miles out them. The traction was the best I've ever had on snow, but the wear was crap for me. I hope you get better wear out of them.

We tried a set of the bfg ko2's and they didn't last one year.. I don't think they are designed for our heavy truck.
You probably know this but make sure your winter tires are no wider than your oem's

I was wondering what became of your sunroof debacle. I see you got that resolved.

I running the ST Maxx Coopers right now, been pleased with them. Have about 55k on them now. Good all around tire, much better snow traction then the factory Michelin's. They balanced well and were reasonably quite. Wet weather traction has been getting crappy in the last few thousand miles, but they are almost done, and won't see the next towing season. Might put fresh tires on before the end of the year. Definitely on the short list of potential replacements, but will be watching here.

Nexen Roadian AT Pro RA8 have received good reviews from Consumer Reports and 1010Tires and TireRack. I've never heard of them either, but they are available at Walmart and Amazon among other places. At about $100 less per tire than Michelin, they will be my next tire. They are made in South Korea.

295/65/20 toyo at2 extreme , the last a long time and I haven't had any issues in the snow, rain or what not but do not get the regular at2 go for the extreme that has the deeper crevices if you choose them
