1996 7.3 need help!

Have an update which may help...second opinion from a certified ford mechanic tonight, found the flex plate to be cracked, he could move it slightly by hand...having it replaced by the end of the week....a much easier and less costly repair than connecting rod and bearings that i was told by the last "mechanic"!
