On my left ac vent the Chrome is not silver like the rest it is black chrome. I wonder why? Truck was made 10-17.

I am going to,attach pics someone else go look at theirs....this is on a King Ranch.

Difficult to tell, but the black chrome AC vent is not chrome, the far left next to driver window.

 

Black chrome looks better. In fact I wish Ford would tone down the vent surroundings. Maybe wood grain instead of them looking like the air intakes for the Millennium Falcon. Aftermarket hello???

Have you every thought about this because i`m not sure this is the case but perhaps the reason the chrome is darker on the left side is to reduce possible glare to the driver which might also interfere with looking out the side view mirror.

Just a thought.
