Best all around tires?

So it's come time to replace the stock tires that came on my Truck. I drive on the occasional dirt road but it is less than 5% of my time driving. I need something that is very good in the wet and good on the highway and towing. I drive A lot so i need something that will always preform well in the wet and not leave me in a ditch in heavy rain. Snow preference is not a factor as i have dedicated snows. My truck came stock with 20 in rims and i would like to stay around stock size.

I had the 275/55-20 Goodyear Wrangler Adventures, and although they did really well in rain and snow they were bald at 35k miles.

I just installed Nitto Terra Grappler G2 in 275/55-20. The day after was a decent snow storm and they performed great.

I drive 75% highway 25% dirt/off-road and I think the dirt roads really tore up and wore out the Goodyears.

If you’re not looking for an aggressive tire, you can’t beat the Michelin LTX2. I had a set on my SD and they were awesome. Decent in basic snow and mud, but amazing in rain and on the highway (very quiet).

Looking at them right now and they seem decent.

They do seem a bit aggressive for me as almost all of my miles are on pavement. i wont rule them out thought. got to explore my options

I have had Yokohama Geolander AT/S on my last two F150’s. Living in the Northwest where we see more rain and black ice these tires have done an awesome job. Quiet on the road, handling the occasional off-road jaunt they really are a good tire. Priced reasonably they have held up well. First set on my 02 F150 lasted 60k Miles. Sold that truck and put another set on my current 2011. They have about 25k in them and look like they will make at least another 20k.

I'm a Kelly or Cooper guy when I buy.
I've always liked the Michelin LTX's that came on the trucks. My 2018 came with Kumhos but has a Michelin spare.

This is likely my next choice.

I agree with the others.

You can`t go wrong with the Michelin`s.

I'm in this boat too, needing new tires soon. I don't have the 20-inch rims, just the 17's, but I drive similar conditions as well as a fair bit of snow.

The Michelins are great, but a bit pricey for me. I will personally go for either a Bridgestone Dueler (which I've had before with great results), or a Kumho Crugen HT51.

Completely agree. For the OP's uses (even some forest service roads, etc.), I'm really impressed with the Michelins. When the ones that came OEM on my truck wear out, I'm just getting another set.

The best all around tire I've had were the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo. Great wet and dry traction and did quite well off road. They were good for 50k miles.

The Michelins are a great choice. The latest tire is the Defender.

Very unimpressed with my ltx2s. Wore out really quickly. My nitto terra grapplers I had wanted for 10 years and when I got em I was really disappointed with their longevity.
