I have a 1990 F-350 with a naturally aspirated 7.3 idi. The truck starts and runs, but will slowly lose power while driving, then die all together. It doesn't restart immediately, but will after a couple of hours when things cool down.
I have replaced the fuel shut off solenoid as well the ignition switch located on top of the steering column.
A friend of mine turned the key to run and bypass started it. It sat in place and ran for 2 hours before he shut it off.
I have replaced the fuel filter. Both injector pumps, injectors, boost pump, starter and alternator were replaced as well by the previous owner.
Both injector pumps? Elaborate please, because they only have one and is is right behind where you put oil in center top of engine. When it dies do you still have power at the IP solenoid?
