This is a piece of preserved history. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-Ford-F...%257Ciid%253A1 Not mine, but this truck is excellent reference material for how the factory built these. Yeah, there's other original trucks out there, but how many are in this condition? How many look they way they did in 1964 with original high lustre factory applied paint and immaculate upholstery, not to mention the bonus of Custom Cab option and super low mileage. Yeah, ND, I believe the mileage is 38K , not 138K or 238K. Condition always trumphs year model and configuration. Only thing I would do is put the original wheels back on with skinny mud and snow tires with argent silver bottle cap hubcaps on rear wheels only.
Out of curiosity,
The 292 (or any Y block) in this application, would it have an exhaust cross over pipe over top of the water pump?
Seems to me most of the original ones I have seen do.
Also in the 3rd and 4th pic. the bed seems a little warped?
Could be the perspective.
I love the truck but since I have been a member of this site, the one of many things I have taken away from it are NDs good mileage advise!

It appears to have dual exhaust so I'd guess that crossover was removed when it we done.

I also noticed the custom pipe on the left side (driver's side) exhaust manifold makes quite a bend under the hood! I'd bet it makes some heat - better be careful not to bake any wiring, fuel pump/line, or even the radiator with extended idling or stop n' go driving with that setup.......
