The driver's side power window on my 94 Ranger closes crooked when it seals at the top. While it cranks up, I have to push up with my hand on the right side of the glass to get it to seal properly.
I took the door panel off and tracked the problem down to 2 worn plastic bushings (upper and lower) that slide on the track.
My question is, does anyone know where I might be able to get replacement pieces? Would a dealer have these things or would they try and sell me a whole new door? I'd be happy with an aftermarket place that would have these, but I don't know of any. Thanks.
Well, dropped by the dealership and it turns out they dont sell those plastic pieces by themselves
They do, however, sell a good part of the guts that go in there which include those pieces for (I was shocked) only $16. Might just be worth getting the whole piece since I'm actually not actually 100% sure those plastic pieces alone are what's causing the problem.
Before I go out an get the piece, think I'll try and rig up something homemade and see how it goes.
