Doc Brown Memorial November and all topics thread

I've been remiss with chapter chores!

Bob Gale's (the guy who co-wrote Back to the Future with Robert Zemeckis) father was born on November 5th, 1922. November 5, 1955, the day Doc Brown hit his head and discovered the flux capacitor and the day Marty initially went back to, was his 33rd birthday.

Just a random fact about my favorite movie.

Someone once told me something similar, but it all came back to me when I saw this meme:

Gave up tobacco almost fifty years ago. Not sure I'd remember how to use a pipe, though I did smoke one for a short while.

In Kalifornia news:

Goodbye Charlie, goodbye!

Seems our state's most famous Charlie is about to see the ending.

Nary a tear will be shed for that dude.

On the other hand we loss The Sound radio station today.
Took me back to when KMET went bye bye.
Me being a rock and roll kinda guy I'm back to KLOS for radio listening.
Hope something else good pops up soon.

Yup, I was listening to them last weekend. According to the Radio guy in the SGVN paper that we get (Star News) this is the result of a merger--possibly CBS, I can't recall--anyway, they didn't want 100.3 to compete with KLOS, so now we have Christian rock. OK....

I guess I have a real disconnect when it comes to that. I am not particularly religious, but both my wife and I were raised Catholic, sent the kids to Catholic schools at great expense, etc etc..... But I'd rather listen to "Sympathy for the Devil" than the stuff on that station now. Gosh that looks awful in print, even on a computer screen.

I better die in Nomex I guess.

Always good to see Bob showing no signs of slowing down after 37 yrs of dictatorship, even sporting some smart clothes.

When I travelled to South Africa in the early 2000's for work twice a year, was sad to hear about Bob and his shenanigans. Wondering if the trillion Zim dollar bill was ever produced?

Trillion Zim bill? Inflation much?

His own signature beret? How's THAT for ego?

He's got one in green, too.

What a fashion plate!
