Four superdutys never had a broken one. The 17 is my second one. Why is at dealership they finally replaced the seat cover on my driver seat. Plus they order new cup holder for center cup console because the holders thing pushed in and won't come back out .
Did something hit it to break it or did it just break on its own? If it was on it's own maybe something is tweaked a bit causing the glass to be stressed.
Rocks they seem drawn to truck because of aerodynamics its like a magnet the first windshield was fixed Twice before it but the third one did it in. This one was by a dump truck dropped a big hunk of concrete two car lengths in front of me. I went off the road to miss the big chunks but the parts of it went flying. It really messed up the prius behind me .
It's very frustrating to have to replace a windshield so often I'm sure. Unfortunately you are a victim of uncontrolled events that has nothing to do with what you're driving. I once had to replace my windshield 3 times in one year. All because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I've had my new truck for a total of 3 weeks and my moonroof has to be replaced because a rock hit the front edge of the glass and started to crack right down the middle. Dealer ordered a new front panel last week.
Praying that when they install it there won't be any leaks.
my wife killed the window on her expedition the first week and got her first nail in a tire on the third
just lucky, i guess
Picked up a '16 Cadillac ATS4 and a '16 Corvette Z06 on the same day. Driving home (15 miles trip), the Z06 tossed up a rock and cracked the windshield on the ATS4.

I don't think I'd blame aerodynamics for a big hunk of concrete falling off of a dump truck ... ROTF.

How did this repair turn out and if you do not mind what did it cost to be repaired? My back moonroof glass had the same thing happen to it. Thanks

My truck went in 4 or 5 weeks ago for the drivers seat cover replacement and cup holder replacement too. Why was your seat cover replaced? Mine had a small area where the dye looked like it was starting to wear off. Black seats BTW.

I agree with roadpilot.... None of my business but if you were only 2 car links behind a dump truck loaded with concrete you were following too close. I've been driving 47 years and logged probably 2 million miles and only 2 cracked windshields, but I don't tailgate either. Just saying.
Hopefully my comment won't PO the OP but maybe some youngster will see my comment and think about tailgating. It amazes me when I see people driving six foot off the bumper of vehicles running 70-80 mph. Do they not teach drivers ed in school anymore? And what about those people that drive in the left lane on the interstate. I was taught to stay in the right lane unless you were passing.
