Soooo.... I just got out from the dealer where one of the items I requested was aiming the high beams as they're shining in the trees. I've a 2.5" readylift leveling kit on it. I was informed by the mechanic that the high beams are at the bottom of there adjustment and will go no lower.
Seems odd to me that the lights come from the factory bottomed out in there adjustment. Anyone else have this experience?
Tighten on the adjuster lowers the beam, loosen raises it. Mine were a little hesitant to move at first. Felt a little “plasticy”. Was able to get them to break free in the loosen direction, and then tighten (lower) back to spec. I doubt they are bottomed out, but just a little sticky. You could try loosening (raising) a few turns and then run them back down.
The low beams need to be aimed, and they are bright so they need to be lowered. Your high beams are supposed to be high, they are made to flood up high, as they go on in addition to the low beam filaments. When my hi beams are on stock, no lifts, on flat ground, that is what they are supposed to do. If you look at the manual, the adjustments are for the low beams. If you adjust the highs down, your lows are going to be very low, next to useless.
So, what I would do is Mark your low beams on a wall, from 25 feet, like the diagrams, make sure they are correct, then turn on the high beams, see where your at. For example, I can see owls on the telephone poles as I drive by on high beams.
If your wanting more low light on high beam, look into Forscan where you can leave the driving lights on on high beam, as normally they go off on high beam, so that the low and high come on together.
