2012 f250 lift question

Hopefully this is the right thread for this but I need new rear shocks, most I've seen are 0-1" 1-3" 2-4" etc and I have no idea what size lift is on my truck. I've been looking for a week online trying to find stock "frame to axle" measurements with no luck. As you can see mine is roughly 13.5 to center of axle. My buddy has a 2015 1" lift (but not sure if measurements would be the same) and mine is definitely higher than his but he's been out of town and can't measure. Mine is a 2012 6.7 running 35's, he's running 35's also and his scrubs, mine has plenty of room. I'm really confused and hoping some of you guys a lot smarter than me can help lol....

Measure from top mounting bolt to bottom mounting bolt on your shocks as the truck sits. Then look those measurements up in the specs on whichever brand you're interested in. Boom. Done

Great idea, didn't think of that. But if there is a load on them how do you tell overall length on what's on there now? Maybe I'm just thinking of it wrong. I can build a hous with my eyes shut, but when it comes to mechanical, I'm a little lacking lol. I still would like to know my lift size though.

And any recommendations on a good shock? Main things I pull are 16' enclosed trailer full of carpenter stuff, 22' scarab boat and 48horse kubota tractor. Nothing terribly heavy.

it looks like you have aftermarket rear blocks inbetweek your leaf springs and OEM axle spacer. check the front coils for a spacer under the coils....if there is one there...im going to bet its the same thickness of the rear after market spacer blocks and the thckness would be your lift size.

How should it look? I've seen other pics while researching, all looked similar to mine. I'm always up for suggestions on how to make it better/right.

Is this the spacer? If so it's 3" exactly. The 2 blocks in the back are 1 7/8 and 2" exactly.

My opinion is yes... but get some confirmation from a few others

looks like you have 3” in the front and 2” in the back.

On the rear,, the stock block with the arm that can hit the bump stop should be on top. This keeps the stock load characteristics intact. The way it is now will allow more articulation but the rear can sway much more under load and possibly bottom out on the tires before hitting the bump stop. If you tow or carry heavy loads, i'd put the stock block back on top. Retorque after a few hundred miles if you swap them.

You do need to get the rear lift addressed! Your factory block should be on top! And, as you can see by the pic, your blocks have shifted and look like they could come apart!

Really not safe to run 2 blocks in back better to swap out and put one of same size under.
