Ford de-rates the Powerstroke SRW trucks in gears 1, 2, and 3. They claimed the de-rate was to prevent tire spinning. I laughed initially, but now that I own one even with the de-rate I find this truck is very easy to break the rear tires free in the low gears. Perhaps the 3.31 gears prevent spinning even further.

I was surprised when I accidentally spun the tires while hooked up to my trailer on pavement. You would think that 900+ lbs of tongue weight would be enough to provide very strong traction. Apparently not.

Yes, I've spun the tires with over 1,000lbs of tongue weight in my SRW truck. Actually surprised me quite a bit. My "old" 2017 dually never spun the tires on takeoff even with the same trailer, but I guess that's the benefit of the dual wheels.
