A little help please...
Well it didn't take long for some *%#-hole to hit my front passenger-side fender flare. I've only had this truck for about 2 and 1/2 months...that really pisses me off!!
anyway, it knocked off about 3-3 1/2 inches of paint. on that 3 inch spot, you can see all the way down to the white plastic that the flare is made of. i can't even see any primer below the paint that is still flaking around the bare spot. the flare only has two little scratches that are parallel (about 1/4 inch apart) and run vertically about 1/2 inch each.
has anyone in here had the same thing happen to them/him? what are my options? just to let you know, a new flare from Ford will not come painted. am i gonna' need a "body" shop to fix this? is it something that i can do myself? what are the smallest increments that paint can be purchased in? i don't think this love scratch will need THAT much paint.

Sure it's fixable. No special bodywork skills are needed but instead of the normal body stuff, you need body putty that will flex and a flex agent for the clear coat. They are available at your auto paint supply store.
