Twisting wrenches again . . .soon!

Ladies and gentlemen - I am pleased to report that I not only survived my spinal-cord surgery, I am actually feeling stronger than I have in many, many year's! I am naturally stiff and sore from the surgery itself, but I do NOT, repeating DO NOT, feel the pain I had felt literally, from head to toe. There is hope - there is a God! PS Never doubted God - but I did feel hopeless where my 'physicality' was concerned. May the force be with you ALL

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 17-Aug-02 AT 11:43 PM (EST)]That is a positive attitude you have. No doubt it played a big part in your recovery. Most people who would face the challenge that you did would not want to grab a wrench and torq up their truck.

Way to go man.

Yours is a prime example of how to do things right. .

In 1973 I went through the windshield of a 64 1/2 Mustang Coupe. It totaled the car and almost totaled me. I was paralyzed from the chest down with a spinal injury for about 4 months when the docs decided that a "Experimental Procedure" might do the trick. My parents were against it (I was 10 at the time) while I was all for it. Surgery was finally done and to this day, I have absolutely no residual problems, just a few scars that have faded to almost nothing.
Congratulations!
As a side note, besides the 64 1/2, I totaled a 70' Mach 1 and a 69' coupe. Both were hit in the drivers door but yet I still own 2 Mustangs, you'd think I'd learn. :-X23

Hey Alan, it's a amazing that such a surgery worked that long ago. The medical has come a long way. That really is a miracle that you are okay.

Toughlover, glad you are doing good as well. Godspeed!
