5.4L Timing

All,

Thank for taking the time. First off, apologies if there is a more appropriate sub-forum, this is the best one I could find. I am in the middle of replacing the head gaskets on a 2004 Lincoln Navigator (5.4L). One day, it just wouldn't start, assumed the starter at first but replacing that didn't do anything. Pulled the plugs on one side and it fired up, turns out it was hydro-locked.

Anyway, beginning this I knew I was past my abilities but I am (1) cheap and (2) always interested in trying something else out. I have quite a few people I know around to help out as well. I got everything apart, heads out and to a shop for pressure testing, etc. I've got them back and mounted now, and was putting the timing back together. I've searched lots of videos and photos of the timing. They all seem pretty straight forward, but the marks don't match what I have on my cams. Attached are two pictures where I believe the timing is correct based on what I've read (assume the crank is right, it was easy).

Can someone verify this is right or tell me I'm completely off here? I've seen several places where the LH side has an arrow showing which tooth is supposed to be between the marked links. Mine doesn't have the arrow, but I lined it up accordingly. On the RH side I attempted to the same. I wasn't confident enough to close back up until I had some other input. There are a couple of indentions on the RH side, but they're almost half a turn around and while the cam rotated some when taking off the timing chain, it wasn't that much. I did mark these prior to taking them off, but much of the paint marker rubbed off, and it almost seemed easier to line it up based on the factory marks.

Thanks for any help.

There should be colored links that line up with marks on the gears.

There's a whole lot more information available to you in this forum: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum27/

The colored links are visible in the picture

That was the point, I was hoping for feedback on their location with respect to the marks shown on the cam gear.
