Need Radiator Core Support!
...OK now I'm fairly deep into this cab swap...and can't really back out!

Due to my inexperience, I hadn't noticed how bad the support was until I'd removed everything around it.... I really need to replace it, LMC doesn't have it for my truck (1986 F250 639 diesel).

Looked around online, no luck. Do I need to start scouring the junkyards!

You will find that engine is not as common as the rest, and it had it's own core support because it usually had the very tall, or a very wide huge radiator in it. You need the extra large diesel support, and it needs to be the 80-86 model. The later models with the different grilles and headlights won't fit correctly.

Here are the different core supports for a 86 f150. You can see the diesel had two different oddball supports, and all the gas engines take the same.

diesel, 15-1/2x37-1/2" core opening
diesel, 25-5/8x31-1/8" core opening
gasoline (29" core opening)

The diesels came with two types of radiators: The tall one or the very wide one. You didn't say which one you had, the more common is the tall one with the very deep support. I did a nationwide search and this is what it came up with. Most of these guys will ship.

TWO different 1985/86 F250/350 diesel radiator supports. 6.9L diesel introduced in 1983, no F150 of any year came w/a diesel engine.

E3TZ-16138-F .. Radiator Support-Use with 6.9L diesel with extra & super cooling radiators / 25 5/8" x 31 1/8" opening / Obsolete

1983/86 F250/350.

E5TZ-16138-B .. Radiator Support-Use with 6.9L diesel and standard cooling radiator / 15 1/2" x 37 1/2" opening / Obsolete

1985/86 F250/350.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either one.

Thanks guys! I will start calling the places from Franklin2's list. Just curious; how do you do that nationwide search; I might need to find other parts....?
