I own a 2000 Ford F-!50 4 x 4 I basically trashed my 470R so I had it rebuilt new everything according to the person who did the work. Re install transmission 1st , 2nd , reverse all work smooth (no slipping) but when I try to accelerate to over 35mph the transmission is un responsive then the truck dies and I have to stop put it in park to restart it Here's what I know no blown fuses, all plugs connected correctly to transmission harness, proper amount of transmission fluid , have a reader code for chk engine was read and I erased it Chk engine light is no longer on the truck has a Hypertech chip I'm beside myself oh and the overdrive light isnt working any suggestions besides take it back to the mechanic Thanks
Thanks for the advice Mickey I would follow your advise if I could get ahold of the mechanic! all I'm looking for is a direction to follow weather it be solinoid, electrical, related to the installation of a shift kit interfearing with the hypertech chip basically why does 3rd gear and overdrive not work + why does the truck die at the point it is supposed to shift. Update to original post a Natpro AODE/470W shift kit was installed. I was given the old parts planetary gear etc... Thanks
THank you for your comments Mickey, I have not done anything to the transmission.,as far as wiggle room he has none. I try to gather as much information as I can before I seek restitution Im hoping it might be some sort of electrical problem or a computer input problem but I don't know. Thanks
