I was wondering if anyone has ever swapped all three rows of seats from a GM (Tahoe, Suburban/Yukon) into an Excursion? I love the Ex, but the seats in my Avalanche were much more comfortable and had a lot more adjustment to them than the Ex does. I realize that it's likely not a simple bolt-in, but was just curious as to how much work it would be.
People seem to want a small fortune for the Ford seats when they can be found. The GM seats seem to be cheaper and more plentiful around me. Is the seat structure any different in the Limited and Eddie Bauer than the cloth power seats that I currently have? If the structure is the same, then comparing the two, I found the GM seats to be more comfortable overall, especially for long drives.

If I were ever to swap out front seats, I would chose seats from a 2004-06 GTO. Those are the most comfortable and sporty seats a factory ever made. They look great too.
I'm kind of looking to spend a few hundred with my labor vice a few thousand. I'll probably end up with what I have. I was just trying to see if anyone had ever swapped in the GM seats since I seem to be able to find them for a lot less than the Ford seats and I know that they are comfortable from personal experience.

Unfortunately around our area here in NoVA, we pay premium prices for these parts. BTW, if you want to pick up something cheaper with quite a bit of DIY, here's a set of seats and door panels. I pinged him about splitting the setup to get just the door panels but he has not responded back. If interested, we can buy together and split the cost.

Yep, it takes four SD rear door panels, a lot of cutting and finishing to make one set of late model EX rear door panels. The EX rear doors are longer than the crew cabs.

IIRC, I had read about this in one of the threads earlier....was it Nicmike or 5HUB???
