Correct protocol when blowing plug on the road
Hey guys, never blown a plug, but reading all these threads about it, I feel I have an idea of what to do to repair them.
But I'm wondering what the correct protocol is when you blow one on the road. Let's say you're 30mins from home, have no tools, and a plug blows.
Do you need to get a tow home or is it fine to run on 9cyl until you get home? If the tow is free (AAA) is it still a safer bet to get towed than "limp" home?

The best thing to do would be to torque the plugs in tighter so they don't eject
But to play along with your hypothetical scenario, unplug the injector and what is left of the coil and drive it home. Also there is a plug similar to a boat bilge plug that can be installed in the spark plug hole to keep dirt and debris out on the way home.
