Injector buzz test
I have a 96 E350 with a 7.3 that the rain soaked the IDM. I bought a used IDM off ebay. It now runs ruff. I did an injector buzz test and all the left bank injectors had a light buzz while all the right bank had very strong buzz. Is it possible my used IDM is bad or maybe the wiring to the left bank? This van sat about a year before i found the IDM full of water and I prolly cranked on it to much trying to start it. Please help! Thank you!

Do you know someone with a 7.3 that you could try your "new" IDM in? if the rough running follows to the other 7.3, the "new" IDM is suspect. You might want to take a look at the valve cover gasket connectors, both the inner and outer connections, for burned pins and/or melted connectors. If the IDM senses a bad harness, it can shut one bank down to protect itself.
