Mark, I load mostly 45 auto. I have cheap progressive press and cast my own bullets. Not counting my time or the lead, my cost is about 7 cents per round. I mostly clean up and re cast range lead.
Curtis, if your dad's guns work you okay, you may want to think for a while about having the guns restored. Their condition is part of their history. I would look more at cleaning them up and stabilizing any rust etc at this point. If you need information or help let me know. Also, in this day and age unless they are higher end collectables, the cost of a gunsmith's work will add up real fast. It is somewhat like having a hot rod shop build your truck. The cost in most cases will be way more than they are worth.

I cooked about 20 lbs of chicken on the charcoal grill last night. I seasoned and cooked about 15 drum sticks, and about 10 chicken quarters. I figured I would have lots of drum sticks left over but the family knocked them all out. I froze all of the quarters, and will take them for lunches.

My hobby process has just been to work on my hobbies, not necessarily to use them, but I did drive the Jeep a little this week. Church, work, store, and I think I have everything ready to go on it except the steering still has me concerns. I think it will get better after a off-road trip to Tuttle for a day.
