Parts Availability

My '94 F150 5.0 EFI has been giving me a problem when idling, so I decided to clean the throttle body with one of the recommended spray cleaners. Mine has the box air cleaner which is connected to the MAF sensor box and a large tube connects on the other side to go to the TB. There is a split connector and two tubes connect to the two inlets on the TB. One of the 2' diameter tubes was cracked. Ford dealer says parts are obsolete and NAPA after market supplier no longer makes the parts. Anyone have suggestions or knowledge of a supplier?
Thanks, Emmett

junkyards are the only place I have found them. if it is a nice truck worth keeping, you can get a cold air intake for it

True, I actually found one, I know the owners family and they didn't even charge me for it. Actually it was most of the assembly all the way from the MAF sensor to the TB. Only one of the tubes that connect to the throttle body was usable, the other damaged. Turns out the tubes are of slightly different lengths or so it appears, both the original and the one I found were very stiff and I was afraid I could damage then installing them. Googled it and found Blaster Silicone spray does wonders on old stiff rubber parts. Will attempt to finish the install tomorrow AM. I priced the cold air intake kits at about $300. I'm retired and don't use the truck so much anymore but its nice to have around when needed. Like 2 days ago I was hauling hurricane damaged fencing to the dump thanks to Irma paying us a visit a few weeks back.

Don't waste your money on a cold air intake; your truck came from the factory with one. Repair or replace the tubes. New ones can be made from steel, stainless, or even plastic tubes with rubber connectors.
