Any cowl lacing pics?

I used the fabric covered stuff similar to original. Not much to it. I used the same short spiral twist nails/brads that had held the original on. Only thing that I had to watch for was that I drove the nails into the same holes they had been in, and some of these weren't exactly centered on the lacing. Sorry, no pics. I went out with the camera to try and get some, but it was just too dark under the hood.

But in my picture, is it in the correct location?

I installed mine in (as far as I can tell) the exact same position the at the lacing was in when it was built. The original nail holes were still there, and the nails pretty much followed the center line of the lacing. That being said, the back of the lacing lines up with the edge of the depression in the cowl where the angled bend at the back of the hood fits. Actually, my lacing feels like it's about a 1/16" over that drop-off point, but that may be due to the hood sort of squishing it a bit flat. From from your photo, I'd say that the lacing has to move back about 1 1/4" at the end and about 1/2" at the middle of the cowl. I don't know how much it really matters, there seems to be plenty of slop room. And it looks like the curve of the hood will snug nicely against the lacing if you attach it just where you have it.

thank you sir, I think I’m gonna text fit the hood before I put it on. And I’ve been hearing to put it on the hood and not the cab with tilt hood kit

Hot Rod Hood Lacing
This is what I used on both of mine and it goes on the hood, if you put anything where the original lacing went it will not stay there with the forward tilt hood and I also stuck clear vinyl on the original place to protect the paint from the hood rubbing while opening the hood. You also need to bend the back 90° bend over on itself near the outside just above where the hinges used to be..

You mean this area? Does it rub somewhere?

Closer to where that black chip is on the floor, you need to flatten that area some. When you start to pull the hood forward it has a tendency to drop down into that lower groove in the cowl and scrap the paint. The areas you have circled tends to rub the fender bolt heads also and it helps to curl that area up a little as well. I had rubbed some of the paint off mine in those areas..
