I own a 2011 ccsb f350 6.7 with 95k on it. I have had no issues except for a exhaust sensor and the auto locking hubs which suck and I gave up on getting to work. Every truck Ive owned has started to have issues around the 100k mark. This truck seems to be as good as the day I bought it at 95k. I am considering selling and buying a 17 for the piece of mind knowing they have sorted out this motor pretty well and Id have a warranty.
My question is, what should I be expecting to deal with on my 11? I’m aware of the radiator issue, which isnt a big deal to me, but is there any other common problems I should anticipate that may push me to a 17? I have driven one, and its nice, but really is very similar to what I have now, even after a test drive.
Thanks
The issue with the 2011's were the valve design. Later revised for 2012 models. The valves would come apart I think it was a drop a valve due to the two piece design.
Radiators have been problematic since 2008 due to cheap plastic. The other issue is you are at 100K and you need to due to the 100K service.
Diff gear lube changes, transfer case, tranny flush, coolant changes.
For the auto hubs, you most likely have a vacuum leak. Probably at the hubs. Since you are at 100K id recommend cleaning them anyway and you might find the cause of the leak. At any rate you can manually lock them in and still use the front end.

We.., we are at the same point. I have a F350 cc with 90,000 miles. So far no real problems. I had to have two EGR sensors replaced. I did have a fuel pump that went out at abour 40,000 miles.
You may know about the real bad problems we had through the years with the high press fuel pumps (mine didn't go out).
However, I have a new problem today. My starter made grinding noises when starting the car this morning. I happened twice and then the motor started. It was okay for the rest of the day.
I will call the dealer tomorrow.
I considered buying a new truck, but it will be expensive and is it really worth it?? I know it is nice to have a new truck, if you can afford it.
