Best Powered Rolling Bed Cover - Money No Object

I have a 2016 F-350 King Ranch with 8' bed.

I didn't spend the money it takes to buy a truck like this to then put a piece of junk over the bed.

I need to roll it out of the way for gooseneck towing and stuff hauling.

I also would like it to be on one of the accessory switches perhaps, but at least powered on a keychain remote.

What is the best rolling cover on the market today????

Probably the GatorTrax, but I have no experience with them. I researched their stuff when I was looking for a cover but chose a different style.

Pace-Edwards Bedlocker. I can’t give any comparison because that is the only brand I have owned. Had one in a F250 short box, and the one I have now in my 350 dually. Going on 5 years ownership between the two and no problems so far.

And I am like you; I coulldn’t go cheap-charlie for a cover on a new KR 350 dually.

Good luck which ever way you go.

I have a Pace Edwards non-electric roll up that a friend gave me off a truck he bought. I have another buddy that has the electric Pace Edwards that he bought used. Both of us have been real happy with them.

Pace Edwards customer service has been fantastic to me. They were fully aware that I was the second owner and have replaced parts for me at no charge. One of those parts being the entire cover when the vinyl delaminated from the aluminum slats. No charge, no shipping costs. It just showed up at my door. They even threw in new rail seals for good measure. I have never dealt with a company with such good customer service.

I have an 8' Retrax
https://www.retrax.com/

Very nice, does not leak after 18 months and has been in a lot of rain. The Retrax looks very stylish and durable.

I had a Fold-A-Cover on the previous truck.. It leaked so bad, I might as well had left it open. The previous truck Fold-A-Cover sections started warping and came apart after a few years. I used bolts to hold it together. Never should have got it and took it off. One more thing about the Fold-A-Cover, on windy days and highway, the cover would lift up in the middle due to what appeared to be a vacuum behind the cab. I used small clamps on the inside to keep it from going airborne.

The Retrax has been working very well. Runs about $2,000.00

Truck Covers USA. Retrax is good, but plastic roller guides are weak link and ball bearings noisy. Pace Edwards are also good for the money, but cover not as strong.

Truck Covers USA is super strong, has the smallest canister in the market, dual METAL locking pawls, and 100% made in USA. Ordering one for the new truck after reviewing all brands in person.

Only draw back is I don't think they have an electric motor, but I feel security
and the smallest canister outweighs that.
