I can remember back in the 80's or 90's there was a company selling a gooseneck ball that clipped to the floor of the pickup through 4 slots. There was a steel plate across the frame rails that it locked to. Anyone remember this?
sounds like the B&W hidden gooseneck hitch. the ball just flips over when not in use. but theres another with a fold down ball thats recessed intothe bed floor.. not sure who makes that one but ive seen a few trucks with it.
Here is what the floor looks like. It had 4 legs that dropped into the floor and you move a lever and it latched. There is a cross plate under the floor.
never seen one like that before... these were the only ive ever seen.
this one was by Curt mfg i just found out.. what i usually see in most trucks for goose necks.
when not in use it flips down similar to the B&W one.
and this is B&W's turn over style.
But again that is for the goose neck trailers. B&W does make a 5 wheel adapter for the campers that locks into where the goose neck ball is which i thought was neat since it means no additional holes and added versatility to the single hitch.
but never seen one that connects like in your picture there.. would be neat to see the rest of the hitch and who made it..
