Another newbie

Good Morning,

My name is Rob and I am from Spruce Grove, AB and I have been a lurker for some time. For the past year or more I have been dreaming of an old truck to restomod, either in the 57-60 or 68-72 range. But about a month ago I found a 75 F250, two wheel drive fleet side, that was a one owner truck. It looked extremely clean with a 390 4spd 4bbl carb and only 55K miles. After watching for awhile I finally emailed owner and 4days ago I went and made a deal. I am super excited to just keep it original and drive it.

I am not a mechanic by any means, but I like to learn. My daily driver is a 2005 F350, so I have had to do lots, some things I can handle and some I use my mechanic neighbor for help.

I put the '75 on neighbors lift and found a few little things that need done but nothing major.....a headlight, a couple marker lights, shocks, blower fan, door striker plastic.......He was impressed with the condition it was in so that made me feel pretty good about my decision.

Hoping to drive it this week after I get it registered and plated today. I will post pics once I figure that out, if I am allowed.
Anyways, thanks already to posts by people who that I have read on how to fix and our figure things out. I look forward to learning more about my new baby. These forums are soooooo much help as I have used others for my 6.0l.
