Sync 3 Touch Screen Updates for 2018+?

I had Sync 2 in my 2013 Taurus SHO, and THAT was pressure-sensitive because I could use it without special gloves.
The Sync 3 system in my opinion is just the right level of sensitivity. Anything more and like someone else said, I'd be selecting all sorts of things that I didn't want. It's not meant for lightning-speed texting with your thumbs. It's meant for deliberate selection or changes while driving.

As for the argument that ensued above, both parties are wrong based on the guidelines, so let it go already.
Anyway, this is what I said to him: "Listen, man, it's been a long/bad day. Not the best of moods. Sorry."

The UConnect 8.4" system is considered the benchmark in terms of intuitiveness as well as response speed.
The Ford Sync3 system is considered only "fair" in terms of response speed. That means, based upon the comparison, it responds about as well as an iPhone. That makes it perfectly adequate for most users, but you will notice the UConnect system is more responsive.
Personally, I find Sync3 to be pretty usable. It's not super fast, but the only trouble I have getting touch functions to work are those with small buttons located near the screen corners...for example, the Home button or the heated steering wheel button. It is laid out pretty well.
Although software updates will occur to Sync, I don't think we'll see an immediate upgrade to the hardware. I do see the bezel surrounding the screen in the F-150 and Super Duty has plenty of black plastic surrounding it, which would allow room for a 10" screen in the future.

My Sync3 experience mirrors yours, almost to a "T". While I only have a couple days with the UConnect, I also find it to be absolutely in line with your comments as well. Still, I'm not sure I can say I prefer one over the other just yet. Outside of the screen differences, it seems I still have some of the same complaints with each system, especially the way each system browses through music on a USB through the Media Hub.
And neither one is certainly enough to sway my purchase of a vehicle.
Great insight on the hardware piece which is what I was primarily interested in.
Thanks again, sir.
