The Dixie Chicks strike again!

They did it again! And why do they always make these comments overseas and not here in the U.S.?

Dixie Chick Comments on Schwarzenegger

The Dixie Chicks have weighed in on the California gubernatorial election with Emily Robison’s comments to the German newspaper, Abendzeitung. According to a report from Ananova, a British news service, Robison discussed Arnold Schwarzenegger’s candidacy during an interview with an Abendzeitung reporter. "He is a great film star,” Robison said. “But I find his idea to run for governor absolutely insane.” She added, “America should be governed by people who have a clue. I hope he doesn't win.” The Dixie Chicks performed Monday (Sept. 8) in Hamburg, Germany, as part of their Top of the World tour. The European leg of the tour includes shows Sunday and Monday (Sept. 14-15) at London’s Royal Albert Hall. It’s the group’s first London concert since March when lead vocalist Natalie Maines said they were ashamed President Bush is from Texas. 09/09/03

Lord, I don't see why people think "celebrities" comments are any better than a common persons.' So I guess the Dixie Chicks are just smarter and far more elite in government than any of us. Sorry, I don't understand that. I like the way they sound, but I could care less what their political views are. You never know what could happen if Schwarzenegger gets to be a governor. I could be good or bad. What do I think about his political status? I really have no clue. I just say good luck to him.

what can i say, these chicks are morons. id like to know what exactly make them think they are an authority in politics. id also like to know why they are so spineless that they cant even make their comments here in america. why do you ask? A, the backlash is very bad for them here and B, anti americanism sells in europe. i say the dixie chicks should move to europe, and stay there.

Why do people care what the Dixie Chicks or any other celebrity, athlete, rock star, or movie star say or think. They're one person with one vote, just like everyone else. When anybody says anything, you either agree or disagree, what difference does it make if they are famous? Let's just assume that they don't want Arnold to be Governor, I'm sure they wont be the only ones!!

the chicks have recorded some great songs and often combine on great harmonies. People buy their concert tickets to hear them sing live and to enjoy the ambiance of a live concert. These are Very Simple truths but the Chicks have yet to figure it out. If people want to pay $75 to hear william f buckley or gloria steinheim or Mike Tyson crow about something, more power to them. People who pay $75 for a music concert ticket deserve a fine musical concert experience and nothing less. So Dixie chicks, can you decide whether you are would be politicians or fine musicians? From the Chick's political diarrhea (mostly from the Pudgy One), if the Chicks are to be successful then their hopes rest entirely with music fans. Chicks, my recommendation is to stay with your day job and stick to music.

The reason is, if Bubba Shrimp says vote for Arnold, maybe a dozen people will hear him. If he says it on the forum maybe 1000 will hear him. They'll all say, "who's that, what's he know?". If the Dixie Chicks say, "Don't vote for Arnold", by the time it gets plastered on all the news maybe 1,000,000 will hear it and a lot of die hard fans will vote against Arnold with out thinking and many more will say wow, the Dixie Chicks don't like Arnold. I guess we'd better not vote for him.

That's the difference.

Because they know like so many in the political, hollywood liberal arena do that there are so many Americans that do not think or do research to find the 'truth'. Instead if their favorite musical, movie, racing or sports star says it's so it must be. And they are willing to do what they have been 'told' to do. Where do you think 'soccer moms' came from. People who are 'to busy' to think are fodder sheep for the politicos.

I was doing pretty good with your post (mainly cause it agrees with my post) until you got to the soccer moms part.

Please tell me more about soccer moms.
