Ecm questions

Pulled the ecm out of my 1995 Bronco 5.0 E4OD. The box was painted black with some stickers on it leading me to believe it’s been replaced. The inside doesn’t seem bad but I’m gunna replace it because I’m thinking that it’s giving me issues. Could anyone tell me what number I should look for when buying, F4TF 12a650 Aaa or a F5TF 12a650 Jb?

F4TF-AAA (HOG0) is a 1994 PCM. F5TF-JB (WAY1) is for a 1995. They are basically the same. Given the symptoms on your other thread I would not suggest trying to replace it just yet. Answer a few questions, then we can help determine which way to go.

I always suspect replacement PCMs, but no sense spending your money for no reason. On the other hand since the PCM is out, open it up and inspect for signs of leaking capacitors. Very common issue.
