OK......I've been fighting a brake pull when braking. Worse at times than others. All new brakes, pads, rotors and drums. And brake lines.
I've bled the brakes over and over. Even had them "power" bled. Still does it!
I am starting to think it is the ABS pump. Well......while doing the headlights, I rapped the ABS pump a few times with a hammer! BINGO!!! Now it pulls very hard to the right when braking!!
I know you can't find a reman ABS pump anywhere. I keep hearing "no longer available"!! Available for 2 wheel anti-lock, but now 4 wheel anti-lock like I have!
SO.....I'm just gonna remove the pump and live with the ABS light.
Any insight???

Pulled a couple of the "caps" off of the pump and depressed the brake pedal. Pump is nasty inside! Brake fluid isn't supposed to look like that! LOL! Cleaned a couple of the small valves and screens. Pump is NASTY!!
Update.........pulled all the caps off the ABS pump and removed the pistons that were in the 2 upper ports. The bottom were just caps and were nasty too. Bled the brakes and found I am not getting any fluid to the left front caliper. Since everything is new.....I'm still thinking it's the pump.
Even called Ford and they told me the 4 wheel ABS pumps for 92-97 Bronco/F series are no longer available. (Like I would spend what they would want!!)
Checking with some local shops about rebuilding.......no dice!
I'm reckoning I will try and find a used or delete it.
My 1992 ford bronco is 2-wheel Abs(rear- only).I pulled the fuse after adding 37 inch tires on it for the no abs .Matt, ebay and others sell remaned units for your abs system .Also try the bone (junk)yards(as Zombie slayer stated) for a unit similar to yours .If there is a fault in anti-locking brake system, the normal braking function remains operational. FIRST :I would talk to a brake specialist before spending ANY $$$.WARNING you may have another problem (no fluid)at your caliper. Try pulling the fuse and see if fluid is present. Good luck TR
Pulled ABS fuse....still pulling. Pretty sure something is stuck or clogged up inside the pump assembly. Found a company that does have reman pumps. us-sales@bba-reman.com
Waiting for a quote.
Quote on the ABS pump from BBA was $450.!!!! Wasn't ready to spend that much! Found a pump in a salvage 1993 Bronco. Bought it and had it shipped to my house for $60 bucks! Installed it, bled the brakes and SHAZAAM!!! It sure is nice having good brakes!
Great -Glad ya got it fixed , ill assume yours is 4 wheel abs ?TR
Yup!!! 4 wheel ABS!
I could find reman pumps for rear only, not 4 wheel.
Glad, thru this whole process, that I did eventually find someone that DOES do a reman pump! (for future reference!)
Now......on to the fuel tank!!
