Yep, I thought that might get some attention -

Lookit, for one thing I'M HERE.

I think most of you are aware of my low tolerance for disrespect of others - but also my broad tolerance for new ideas... The bottom line is respect one another - learn to "Agree to Disagree" while discussing things that we already know people will take (at times) extreme opposite positions on.

Play fair -OR THE SANDBOX GOES AWAY!
-
Kapitshe?

This could be a hella-good thing, let's not spoil it by taking personal what can be an excellent way to candidly talk about totally different views.

Let's face it, how often do we get the chance to do so in a totally harmless way?

I know better than to ask you to be nice -
Let's be TOLERANT, and see where it goes.

Otherwise, offending stuff will be trashed without a second thought by a non-partisan.

~ Oh, and by the way... I'm a non-partisan!!!!
(He says, as he grins evilly...)

*BANGS GAVEL*

~ So be it!

PROPOSED: (in the interest of mutual respect and order)

1) Respect one another - even if you disagree.
2) NO PERSONAL ATTACKS!!! ( NONE)
3) Avoid "LABELLING" individuals. It is usually unfair...
4) NO RACISM AT ALL. I want that understood from the beginning - It's garbage, and will not be put up with even once.
5) If for any reason you feel that you have been unfairly criticised, there are options open to you. First of all, there is myself and the other moderators, second of all (being a political forum) we CAN AND WILL CALL VOTES from time to time to settle serious problems.
6) Such votes, should they become needed, reflect the majority of the forum and their outcome must be respected.
7) Such votes may be set aside by the WEBMASTER.
8) The WEBMASTER may be applied to if unfairness is suspected or believed to have been resorted to.
9) Be very sure that an injustice exists, before bothering the WEBMASTER with a complaint. All issues should be resolved at the lowest level possible. This is a matter of personal integrity...
10) Should anyone be banned from discussion here BY THE WEBMASTER ONLY it is expected that no responses will be given any post of theirs under any circumstances. This instruction obtains only under the most dire and disruptive circumstances and should not therefore ever need to be employed.

- I think that is all I can think of. Would anyone care to ratify my proposals?

Sounds good to me. Ken was nice enough to start this forum. Let's see if we can avoid anything that makes him use his valuable time to police this forum. He's got better things to do.

NOTE:

I still have no clue which of us made this a "Sticky" post.

For my part, it seemed like a good idea.

- Also: On the off-chance that I am assigned this forum I intend to try to stay the heck out of religious discussions from now on.

There will likely be at least TWO moderators here, and "IF I AM ELECTED..." (Et cetera)

Seriously? I'm a lot more level with political stuff.
