Any updates?

any updates on the project? Did the truck start/run or is it a dead project?

She started and ran I drove it around the block and parked it for the summer as it’s a winter project and I am just to busy in the summer to work on it when it’s 40+ outside.

In the next next month I’ll be getting right back in to the swing of things. The stand alone harness I made for the truck worked great all the gauges still work as well as the obd2 port still was able to read diagnostics and all the headlight and turn signals high beams still worked with the 7.3L switches

update on the harness

its functioning very well I've recently started to wire in the little things i kept in the harness like the cigarette lighter, the factory brake light switch and clutch switch.
my obd is connected to a edge cs programmer that shows me all my gauges like speed, EOT, MAP, MPH, VOLTAGE RPM etc

pretty satisfied with the hole thing

the factory gauge cluster still works great and i only have a ABS light on that i believe is just because the front sensors are unplugged

Wow, good to hear you’re getting close to completion of the electrical work. Hang in there and keep us posted on your progress along with some pics.

Awaking this from the dead

Another update for this long lost thread. The trucks currently at my new house. It sat for 3 years put new batteries in it and it fired up first crank. Getting come 53” tires mounted and putting a flat deck on it and possibly a knuckle boom Hiab between the deck and the cab. Going to make it the ultimate picker / rat rod truck.
