I noticed a small hole in my wiper fluid up near the fire wall. The line is very brittle and didn't seam like today's rubber hose. I was just going to cut the small hole out and splice it back together with a connector. When I went to cut it the line broke apart and then as I was moving it another 6 inches broke off. If I want to replace the whole line do I have to remove the cowling near the windshield to access the sprayers or can I just loosen it to get up under there? Any DIY's on this, I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.
Job done!!
I went ahead and replaced the entire line, I couldn't get the cowl all the way off so I just lifted it enough to get under,
If anyone has to do this be sure to put some duct tape or something stiff on the cowl where the hood corners are so it doesn't scratch the paint.
The wiper arms were difficult to get off and back on.
and the original hose is an odd size the local store didn't carry so I had to buy adapters to get the lines to fit the pump and sprayers
