Key Pad Issues! Need some guidance!
So a few weeks ago locking the truck with the key pad, I got an odd chirp when I locked it.
Auto lock stopped working in the next few days.
Fast forward to yesterday. The key pad won't unlock the truck but still locks it.
So where do I start looking? Programming or a GEM?

Keypad is not controlled by the GEM, since you don't have one in your 03 
It sounds like you might have hit a wrong button and disabled your unlock feature. Will have to read up on how to re-enable it...seen those instructions a few times in the tech folder. Just need to find them...

I have the same issue sometimes. I believe it is one of the buttons other than the last two. That explains why it always locks it. You can test that by letting the keypad go dark then hitting each button to see if one of them doesn't cause it to light up. That is my problem and I believe water or something got in behind the button pad. The middle button is faulty. For now I just made a code not using it so I dont get locked out. Worth a check.
that narrows down our guessing by a few thousand codes...

Hey if you are that dedicated, help yourself to whatever you find in there. Just do it before I come outside because this is Texas and it's OK to defend your property here, not just yourself.

Back to my issue....
So all other functions are still working on the key pad. The lock function and the hold the 7/8 and 1st # of the code the locks cycle to lock.
So the next question is can I re-enable the key pad without going to a dealer?
