Disc Brake conversion for 1966 F100

I have a guy telling me his 1979 spindles will fit my 66. Will I need a different steering box and tie rod?? Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks

The issue with finding used hoods, which are as difficult to find as hen's teeth is the cost of shipping a hood if unable to locate locally.

Suggest check-in with your local FTE charter and inquire if member's can suggest a reputable auto body shop. From personal experience, a good auto body person can work miracles when it comes to re-fabricating replacement sheet metal.

I had similar issue at the leading edge of the hood on my 65, mostly cancerous pin holes. After cleaning top and bottom surfaces applied a metal etch and thoroughly rinsed, then used Evercoat body filler, comes in different flavors depending upon specific applications, primed then applied top coat. This was numerous years ago and so far has held up. I followed up by drilling relief holes along the bottom lip of the hood, appears to me this area is subject to corrosion.

Dave I like the idea of drilling the holes to let water out and more air flow. Yes a body guy replaced the rot with new metal.
Thanks for your time

Road Tramp: It works much better (for those using the SEARCH function & looking for an answer at some point in the future) if you start a new thread when you have a question not related to the original topic of a post

Having said that, this link should shine some light on your question....
