OK....I believe I've discovered another problem that deals with a vehicle that has sat for a long period of time. A rusty gas tank!! I've changed my fuel filter about 4 times since I got my 93 Bronco back on the road. Each time, the fuel coming out of the fuel filter looked about as dark as coffee!
When I did the new fuel pump and level, I drained the tank completely and did the box of nuts and soapy water to clean the tank out. Twice!
I'm still getting nasty fuel filters!
I guess I'm gonna replace the tank from BG along with the new vent and rollover valve and gaskets.
I guess my question is.....plastic or metal??
I have a 33 gallon plastic tank in my 78 Bronco. No issues with it at all and certainly no rust! As a Bronco owner it's easy to like things that don't get rusty!
