Upgraded to a crew cab unmolested

So I sold the 03 7.3 fx4 ext cab I bought in 07 with 60k miles. Having 3 kids and a 70 pound dog go on camping trips was getting a little cramped. It was hard to watch her go she's been one hell of a truck and I almost shed a tear as she pulled out of the drive but then I realized what a deal I got on the replacement truck. 99 7.3 4x4 lariet 124k miles. 1 owner Never programmed , stock exhaust and air box still in place and all work done at ford dealership with documentation to back it up. Old man bought it new got cancer it say for a year and family decided it had to go. Only thing done to it is a kickass stereo(infinity head unit and door speakers and a custom box with a Memphis sub behind back seat) family said pawpaw like his rock and roll music loud has a pro comp soft ride 4" lift and a warn M12000 winch up front. Truck rides super tight and rides like a Cadillac compared to my 03. So far I've put my 6673 air filter on and done the ccv mod. Next on the list is a triple disc low stall billet converter and transgo tugger kit. Haven't been on here in awhile thought y'all might wanna see her. Btw I stole it at $16500. 03 154k sold for 17100
99 124k bought for $16500

Yea, my 10 year old son was mad when it left "dad you taught me how to drive in that truck" he thinks the grey truck was "cooler" I tried to explain the white one would be in time.

Very nice, congrats! You will enjoy the crewcab more while camping, I went through the same change 10 years ago.

I'm glad you made it thru the process unmolested.

Nice looking truck! Crew cab here too, you're gonna love the space.

Still some g'pa retirement gifts to themselves out there, but getting rarer.

Early or late 99? What mods do you have in mind?

ALL 7.3 trucks are cool....I have always thought as a kid when the first 7.3 came out they were cool (aside from the grill being so fuggly) but the sound they make.....MUSIC!

yep, crew cab is a must. didn't even consider anything else.

Did see a single cab short-box 7.3l that looked bad ***. but that is a single man's truck.

Good looking trucks, and you will without a doubt really like having all the extra space.

I am in the same place. I have been debating whether or not to put up my 99 for sale and try to find a CC, but mine runs so dang good and I know what has been done to it. Really nice find BTW!!

I basically want what I had in the other. I did the ccv and 6637 so far. Got a line on a full 4" exhaust from a guy I'm on the fire dept with for $200. Triple disc billet low stall torque converter, transgo hd2, and the larger derale pan. Gauges and hydra php. I want to update the headlights to the clear like my 03 had and smoke the clearance lights. That's the majority of my plans. What are my options for a larger fuel tank on here? I'm sick of only having 26gal. I figured the 350 would have a bigger tank.
